If you are a type A personality like me, being a great planner is one of the traits you love about yourself, which you should, but it can also be what’s holding you back.
When you release control you naturally embody feminine energy because you learn to enjoy and appreciate life by over analyzing every situation.
Being super in control in most cases is a trauma response which happens mostly to a kid which you might not experience having control over your decisions so it’s hard for you to relax in your body not wanting to plan every aspect of your life or micro manage small things.
As control freaks we try to plan, control and calculate how we appear or speak. When you are a planner you don’t plan for uncertainties which are a natural part of life.
Here’s six things you can do to release the need for control:
Teach your body that it is not your responsibility for what happened to you when you were younger but it’s your responsibility to heal. Teach your body that I want to activate my true feminine energy power so it is my decision to release control.
- Take 5 minutes out of your day and do some breathe work
- Release your emotions through journaling
- Write down one daily intention and focus on that alone
- Practice daily positive affirmations
- Take some time out of your day for creative activities
- Learn to trust others and share the workload
